Day 1 Arrival, Hoedspruit

Road transfer from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit. Afternoon birding and game viewing walk

Possible species: Stierling’s Wren-warbler, Retz’s Helmet-shrike, Orange-breasted Bush-shrike, Burnt-necked Eremomela, Yellow-bellied Eremomela, Acacia Pied-barbet, Greater Honeyguide, Levaillant’s Cuckoo, African Fish Eagle, White-backed Vulture, Bearded Woodpecker, Marico Sunbird, Southern White-crowned Shrike, Brubru, Grey Penduline Tit, Grey-tit Flycatcher, Fairy Fly-catcher (winter)

Day 2 Kruger National Park daytrip

100 species can be seen on a day trip in summer. 500+ species on the official Kruger National Park List.

  • We enter the Kruger Park at Orpen Gate.
  • Bird walk in Orpen Camp
  • Birding drive to Satara Camp
  • Bird walk and lunch in Satara Camp
  • Visit to Sweni Bird Hide
  • Return to Hoedspruit via Orpen gate
